THE FIRST PROGRESS REPORT IS NOW PAST DUE (Deadline FRI 9/26).
Please post ASAP!
Please use the PI Thesis template and check your write-up thoroughly using the Report
Checklist.
The progress report must contain as a minimum: Cover Page, Table of Contents, Abstract,
fairly complete Introduction and Methodology sectionts, some preliminary results and the
References section.
Failure to comply puts your academic status at RPI at risk!

Professor,
I apologize for the misunderstanding but I did not mean to in any way imply that the progress report that
I posted was ready for your review. I specifically did not link to it, nor did I convert it to pdf (which you
indicated that you preferred for reviewable documents). I uploaded it to the website so that I had a copy
from which to work when I was not at my home computer.
I started with a friend's completed report as a template so that I could make sure that I used the correct
format for my completed report. I have deleted sections as I worked through the document. I didn't
finish deleting the references as I wanted to make sure I followed the correct format when doing my
reference list. As you can see in my proposal, I already have a reference list started so there would have
been no need for me to plagiarize references from someone else's report.
Again, I apologize if you construed that list as me trying to pass off someone else's work as my own. I
was merely trying to ensure that when I was ready to insert my references I followed the approved
referencing format. If you would like, I will immediately remove that copy from the website and remove
all remnants of the other student's work from the document.
